What BTR does
Business Travel Ready (BTR) analyzes publicly visible hotel review text on Tripadvisor pages to generate a work-readiness score and summary focused on Wi-Fi, noise, desk/workspace, power outlets, and lighting.
Data BTR processes
When you click “Analyze” on a Tripadvisor hotel page, BTR collects:
The hotel page URL (to reference the analyzed page)
A limited amount of publicly visible review text currently shown on the page
BTR does not collect your name, email, passwords, payment details, or any browsing history unrelated to the feature.
How data is used
The collected review text and page URL are sent to BTR’s backend service to generate the score and summary. The data is used only to provide the analysis shown to you in the extension.
Data sharing
BTR sends the review text and URL to:
A backend proxy operated by the developer
OpenAI’s API for text analysis
Data retention
BTR does not intentionally store review text long-term. Backend logs may temporarily record basic request metadata for reliability and abuse prevention.
Security
API keys are stored server-side and are not included in the extension. Requests may use additional controls (such as rate limits and request validation) to prevent abuse.
Your choices
If you do not want review text sent for analysis, do not click “Analyze.”
